The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, active all over the world. We promote knowledge of the German language abroad and participate in international cultural events.
The Institute has been present in France since 1957 and involved in Franco-German frienship in 8 locations : In the 6 Goethe-Institutes (Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nancy, Paris and Toulouse) and 2 branches (Marseille and Strasbourg); our team organises dynamic language learning, cultural events and encourage bilateral cooperation. The Goethe Institutes work closely with other franco-german institutions in France. The network is made up of 12 cultural societies and 31 examination centres in France. Throughout this network, local projects are undertaken in conjunction with activities undertaken on a national level in France.
